SYNOPSIS: MAGIC MIKE LIVE LAS VEGAS is an empowering, sexy entertainment experience based on the hit films “Magic Mike” and “Magic Mike XXL”. Conceived & Directed by Channing Tatum and co-directed by Tatum and film franchise choreographer Alison Faulk, the show features sexy and daring themed dance routines punctuated by one of a kind acts from a diverse cast of performers, led by a Female MC who empowers and inspires the audience to redefine what “Male Entertainment” can be. MAGIC MIKE LIVE LAS VEGAS is a sizzling 360-degree dance and acrobatic strip tease spectacular guaranteed to bring on the heat.

SEEKING male dancers who are sexy, athletic, and handsome. All must be strong hip-hop dancers. Magic Mike Live has something for everyone – all shades, ethnicities, nationalities, age ranges, and types. NOTE: All roles will strip to briefs in certain portions of the show and will have contact with members of the audience. All should be comfortable interacting with women.

[MALE DANCERS] – 18+. All Ethnicities & ages, handsome, sexy, athletic men who are comfortable with various styles of dance, including hip hop and partnering. The following special skills are a plus: acrobatics, singing, drumming, piano, guitar, and aerial. During portions of the show all roles will strip to briefs.

In case you are asked to sing, prepare 16-bars of a joyful pop/rock/R&B song that is NOT WRITTEN FOR A MUSICAL. You can find the cast recording on Spotify, Apple Music, etc. Please familiarize yourself with it and sing something in the style of the show. ABSOLUTELY NO MUSICAL THEATRE. Please have sheet music in the correct key. Bring your book.

SEEKING:

[LOLA/SIMON] Male, early 30’s, African-American. An emotionally and physically challenging role requires the body of a boxer, with the soul of a Diva to play this scene-stealing drag performer. Must have a killer voice with power blues and gospel chops. Lola dances in very high heels and so has to move well.  This role calls for a STAR. This is the Tony Award Winning role originated by actor Billy Porter.

[ANGELS] Males, 20s – 30s, any ethnicity. These are the six drag performers who populate THE BLUE ANGEL NIGHTCLUB. They need to be versatile, but also terrific dancers, singers and actors. This ain’t a job for no wall-flowers. Tumbling, acro and tricks a plus.  Will be required to dance in heels. May cover principal roles.

[MALE SWINGS] Males, 20s – early 30s, any ethnicity. To cover the onstage ensemble factory workers, the featured ensemble roles of the ANGELS, and possibly principal roles.  Must be terrific dancers, singers and actors. These are offstage tracks.

[NICOLA] Female, 20s, Caucasian. Charlie’s girlfriend since school. Steel willed, she is driven and uncompromising. She knows what she wants and goes for it. Must have a great pop voice.

[DON] Male, 30s – 40s, Caucasian. Lola’s nemesis.  Burly hyper-masculine bear of a factory worker.

[GEORGE] Male, 40s-50s, Caucasian. Factory manager keeping up traditions.  Reserved.

[PAT] Female, 30s, any ethnicity. Officious office manager who will let loose her wild side when allowed. Lola’s love interest.

[TRISH] Female, 40s, any ethnicity. Factory worker with a husband and kids to worry over.

[RICHARD BAILEY] Male, 30s-40s, any ethnicity. Nicola’s boss. An overtly attractive and successful man. A real threat to Charlie. One of the hooligans, factory workers, etc.  Must have a good voice.  May cover principal roles. May understudy CHARLIE.

[SIMON SR] Male to play 40s-50s, African-American. Lola’s father. An unforgiving tower of anger. He works in the opening, and two scenes in act two. Otherwise he will play the homeless man, a factory worker, etc. Must have a good voice.  May cover principal roles.

[FEMALE ENSEMBLE] Females, 20s – 40s, any ethnicity. To appear in the ensemble and play various roles (factory workers, photographers, etc.) Will cover principal and featured ensemble roles.
